EHR Trainer - Full Time

Under the supervision of Information Technology Director, this position will be responsible for the training of all NOMS team members on the practice management and electronic health record systems as well as other software as deemed necessary.

Duties and Responsibilties:

  • Instruct training program for new and established team members through onsite training, remote assistance or webinar review.
  • Provide onsite and remote support to new team members and established team members as indicated.
  • Review, evaluate, and test new software. Implement approved process flows with team members.
  • Assist in the development of documentation to assist with the software training program.
  • Assists users to identify software and procedural requirements.
  • Assist analyst teams with new office onboarding, office workflow reviews and helpdesk processes as needed.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while working with NOMS physicians and team members.
  • Ensures that the software functions efficiently on a daily basis and remains in safe functioning condition.
  • Stays abreast of leading-edge information technology, communications and healthcare software applications.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of electronic medical record processes, problem identification, medical data processing practice.
  • Skilled with critical thinking and the ability to solve critical problems, coordinate simultaneous efforts, recover from data loss, speed up development, improve program efficiencies.
  • Ability to be oriented to end-user support needs across multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associates degree in information systems, business or technical field preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible experience in information systems. Health care setting preferred.
  • Electronic Health Record and/or eClinicalWorks experience preferred.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Must be flexible, will include some evening hours.
  • Position will require 75% travel amongst all NOMS offices. Overnight travel may be required.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • Office setting and computer facility. Minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
