Clinical Workflow Specialist - Full Time

Under the supervision of the Information Technology Director, this position will be responsible for the oversight and direction of the clinical workflow of the electronic medical record, throughout the offices of NOMS Healthcare.   

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth analysis of clinical workflows, amongst NOMS providers and team members in accordance with NOMS key performance indicators
  • Make the appropriate corrections to workflows as indicated from onsite analysis or from the IT and Administrative teams’ observations.
  • Make daily onsite visits to the offices to review and discuss user and provider workflow.
  • Assist with the implementation of new workflows as they are developed by the NOMS teams.
  • Maintain excellent customer service while working with NOMS physicians and team members.
  • Assist analyst teams with new office onboarding, new user training and helpdesk workflows as needed.
  • Ensures that the software functions efficiently on a daily basis and remains in safe functioning condition.
  • Stays abreast of leading-edge information technology, communications and healthcare software applications.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Knowledge of electronic medical record processes, workflows and medical data processing practice.
  • Possess an understanding of workflows, policies, procedures, patient care and clinical business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to be oriented to end-user support needs across multiple sites.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, both written and oral.

Education and Experience:

  • High school education or GED.
  • Clinical license or certification preferred (RMA, CMA, LPN)
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
  • Electronic Health Record and/or eClinicalWorks experience preferred.

Physical/Mental Demands:

  • Must be flexible, will include some evening hours.
  • Position requires travel to outlying offices throughout the state up to 4 days a week and may include overnight stays as needed to support new office onboarding.

Environmental/Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones. Minimal exposure to communicable diseases.
