Perform accounting duties according to the policies and procedures established at NOMS under the supervision of the CFO. Responsible for AP entry, processing check request, refund check requests and handling check disbursements.

Duties And Responsibilities:

Sorts, codes, alphabetizes and verifies invoices with packing slips.
Processes accounts payable checks and voided checks.
Processes 1099s at year end to appropriate vendors and independent contractors.
Prepares business mileage reimbursements for payroll processing.
Maintains required records, reports and files.
Traces sales tax activity and prepares the report.
Prepares estimated tax vouchers and payments.
Provides A/P reporting to office managers.
Participates in educational activities.
Maintains strictest confidentially.

Knowledge And Skills Required:

Knowledge of accounting systems and practices.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.
Knowledge of data entry.
Skill in computer programs, spreadsheets and applications.
Ability to understand and interpret policies and regulations.
Ability to prepare documents in response to complaints and inquiries.
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
Ability to communicate effectively and work with others.

Education And Work Experience:

High School graduate or GED.
Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred.
Minimum of two years of accounting clerk experience including one year accounting experience in a health care organization

Physical/Mental Demands:

Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment.
